The Sisterhood: Breaking Barriers, Building Futures

Born from a spark of competition in 2006, The Sisterhood began as an audacious idea shared between two driven individuals. What started as a friendly challenge quickly evolved into a groundbreaking endeavor when, less than a year later, an elite group of fearless women gathered on the shores of Dover. Their mission? To race The Brotherhood across the English Channel to France. Eleven months of rigorous training, countless injuries, and an unyielding spirit culminated in The Sisterhood reaching France in a world-record time of 3 hours and 42 minutes. That moment wasn’t just a victory; it was the beginning of a movement, and with that, The Sisterhood’s legacy began.

Fast forward 19 years, and The Sisterhood has grown into a dynamic community of over 150 extraordinary women, ranging from professional athletes to trailblazing founders. Together, they have raised more than £1,000,000 for charity through daring events like ultra-relays, triathlons, paddle boarding, and dragon boating. Their mission remains the same: to push boundaries, inspire others, and make a tangible impact, all with female empowerment at is core; women helping women.

This process brings our body out of homeostasis (the body’s natural balanced state), which can impact every aspect of your health and wellbeing.

Introducing the Sisterhood Rickshaw Rally 2025: "Let's Goa"

Now, The Sisterhood is gearing up for their most ambitious challenge yet: the "Let's Goa 2025" Rickshaw Rally. From March 6th to 11th, 60 remarkable women in 17 teams will take on a 1,000-kilometer journey from Chennai to Goa in tuk-tuks. Beyond the adventure, their goal is to raise £350,000 to support underprivileged women and children in Chennai. By championing these causes, The Sisterhood are smashing patriarchal walls and creating lasting change by generating funds for initiatives that empower women and girls in underprivileged communities.

The Mission Behind the Challenge

2. Empowering Women with Skills Training:

- Provide vocational training to young women aged 18-35, helping them achieve economic independence.

- Equip first-generation literates with sustainable livelihoods, strengthening the economic fabric of rural and semi-urban neighbourhoods.

3. Preventing Postpartum Anemia and Complications:

- Address critical maternal health challenges, including postpartum anemia and preventable deaths.

- Provide iron supplements, blood bank support, postpartum pads, and ongoing medical care to vulnerable women.

-Save lives and build a sustainable model for postpartum care in resource-limited settings.

Education, economic empowerment, and maternal health are cornerstones of thriving communities. By addressing these issues, The Sisterhood’s efforts will create ripple effects that extend far beyond Chennai, impacting countless lives and inspiring a new generation of change-makers.
